Film Services by Histogram covers 26 trades across 5 departments — production, camera, sound and edit, creative and development, and other services — and will drop one person into a crew that is already running just as readily as it will build a whole production from scratch.

Within 48 hours of your enquiry we know who is free for your dates and what they can do. We work with people we have shot with ourselves, so nobody is calling down a contact database — we only check who has the dates open.

The price follows the number of shooting days, the size of the crew, the kit and the locations — a one-day shoot with four people is a different order of magnitude than a three-day campaign with a crane, a drone and extras. Send us the dates, the location and what you need; the budget comes back line by line so you can see what you are paying for.

Both. Camera packages, lighting, grip and crane, drone, sound and radio mics, vans and make-up — plus a soundstage in Prague. Kit comes with crew to run it, or on its own if you already have your own people.

We are based in Prague and shoot across the whole Czech Republic. Prague is the starting point for crew and kit; travel and accommodation outside Prague sit in the budget as their own line, so the extra cost of a regional shoot is visible from the start.

Yes, permits are part of the production service — street closures, shooting in heritage buildings, and filming on Prague public transport. Lead times differ by location and some of them cannot be shortened, which is why permits get started as soon as the dates are fixed, not the week before the first slate.

Yes. We work in Czech, English and German. For incoming productions we provide a fixer, permits, locations, transport, accommodation and catering, and build a local crew that speaks English with you.

The Czech incentive is run by the Czech Audiovisual Fund and returns 25 % of eligible costs spent in the Czech Republic on feature films, documentaries and fiction series, 35 % on animation and digital production, and 66 % of withholding tax paid here, capped at CZK 450 million per project. Commercials are not eligible, though — if you are shooting an ad, do not budget for a rebate.

The earlier you ask, the more people are still free. We know who is available within 48 hours of the enquiry, and a one-day shoot with a small crew can come together inside a week. For a bigger production allow several weeks — location recces and permit lead times cannot be compressed.

Yes. Edit, colour grading, motion graphics, VFX and cleanup, sound design and mix, platform versions, export and archiving. We take on post for our own shoots as well as for footage someone else shot.

Film production services means a local production company arranges everything a shoot needs on the ground — crew, equipment, locations, permits, transport, accommodation and catering. It can be booked whole, from the first recce to the final wrap, or in parts, as the trades your own crew is missing.

Film Services by Histogram is the production service arm of Histogram, s.r.o., a Prague company shooting since 2014 and a member of the Czech Film Commission. It supplies crew and equipment for shoots in Prague and across the Czech Republic, works in Czech, English and German, and runs an in-house communications and PR department alongside the audiovisual side.
